Through flagship platforms such as the National Service Scheme (NSS) and National Cadet Corps (NCC), more than 2,100+ student volunteers actively participate each year in impactful community initiatives. These include environmental conservation, digital literacy, public health awareness, rural development, and youth empowerment programs.
By integrating community service with academic learning, VCE transforms real-world challenges into live learning opportunities—helping students develop empathy, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. This holistic approach not only shapes socially conscious engineers but also reinforces VCE’s standing as a forward-thinking institution contributing meaningfully to Telangana’s development ecosystem.
A distinguishing strength of the VCE Library is its robust digital ecosystem, designed to promote self-learning and research excellence. The Digital Library houses 30 computer systems with high-speed 250 Mbps internet, enabling uninterrupted access to e-resources across campus through IP-based authentication and remote access via secure login credentials.
The library is fully automated using NewGenLib (ILMS), providing efficient cataloging, circulation, and MIS reporting. Facilities such as Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), an Automated Self-Service Kiosk for book issue/return, biometric attendance, CCTV surveillance, and Wi-Fi connectivity greatly enhance user convenience. The library also integrates national digital learning platforms, including NDLI, SWAYAM Prabha, AICTE e-KUMBH, e-Adhyayan, and NPTEL, providing students and faculty with access to high-quality learning materials and MOOCs.

The library is committed to fostering a student-centered learning environment through a comprehensive suite of value-added services. These include lending and borrowing support, reference and referral services, reprographic facilities, literature search services, discussion rooms, book reservation services, new arrivals display, newspaper clipping services, and inter-library loan facilities through DELNET and INFLIBNET N-LIST memberships.
Regular Library Orientation Programs help students familiarize themselves with available resources and develop strong academic research skills. The well-lit, comfortable reading spaces, dedicated discussion areas, structured circulation policies, and strict adherence to rules ensure a peaceful, productive atmosphere for study. Through its strong blend of traditional resources, digital infrastructure, and learner-centric services, the VCE Library plays a pivotal role in supporting holistic academic development.
